If they cut to the top 70 and ties right now, the cut would be +6. Looking like at the end of this round, top 70 and ties will be +8. Even if the wind dies a little, the cut line is only going up tomorrow. Guessing the cut will be +10, could be even higher. Unbelievable.

I posted this on the PGA thread, but with the last four Opens being won at -9, -5, -4, and -16, I would guess the USGA set Shinnecock up to be a real bitch. The USGA always likes to say par is a good score at the US Open.
 
I think I'll end up with +5 for the day- I have 2 of the 4 tied for the lead and am not sure how the bonus works in such a situation.
 
My top 4 are at +5 total.
I'll take it and hope it holds up tomorrow.

Will the cut be at +10? It's looking like it's possible. Before many have teed off there are 80 players at +7, that number could easily go up 2-4 shots.
 
Looking like the cut will be +10 or even +11. Midway through yesterday's round +6 was 108th place. Now, +6 is 49th (players that finished yesterday morning have moved up 60 spots without playing). Top 70 and ties is currently +8, and half the field hasn't teed off.
 
Stenson's eagle and Piercy's bogey cost me.

No, not picking DJ is probably going to cost me. I started to, but just had a feeling he wasn't going to have a great week......Facepalm
