2021 Carolina Panthers Thread - Time for the 2022 thread

Losing our first pick Horn was huge. That was a killer. He looked like he might be our best DB and maybe our most important defensive player period. He was that good.

And having so much money tied up in McCaffrey who rarely if ever plays and probably will never really be much of a contributor ever again is also a killer. These things are not on Fitt or Rhule.

But you need a good QB and offensive line in the NFL. You just have to prioritize that through the draft.

Right. Even if that means taking a guy a little early. We'd be much better off with Fields or Slater right now.

Seems pretty obvious that our scouting staff didn't rate either of those guys all that high.

fitt seems fine

it's not his fault the team turned to shit after 3 weeks

Yeah it is. As I said at that time, trading Dan Arnold for the bum Henderson would doom the season. And it did. Darnold fell apart immediately after that. You put a decent pass-catching TE on this team and either Darnold or Cam are significantly better than they are now, with or without CMC.

Tommy Tremble and Ian Thomas have both been somewhat disappointing.

Yeah. Within a few months, Fit and Rhule went from Dan Arnold fills the need for a pass catching TE to fuck that, let’s get another CB. I was fine with the trade at the time but it did not work out.

This comment certainly isn’t going to be fair given we only saw two games out of Horn, but we should have drafted one of the QBs, Slater, or Parsons

Does cj Henderson get any playing time? Is he even still on the team? I haven’t heard his name in weeks

He got absolutely roasted by Russell Gage when he was actually in the game last Sunday. Pretty damning when a GM gets fleeced in a trade by Urban Meyer.

Panthers awarded marketing, sponsorship, and fan engagement rights in Germany, along with the Pats, Chiefs, and Bucs.

Since 2019, the Panthers have had German-language accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The team also has a German-language section on its website.

“We’re really pleased — I think this is a very smart strategy by the league,” Panthers President Tom Glick told CBJ today in a phone interview from the league meetings in Dallas. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to bid. Germany … is a great NFL market with incredibly strong connections to the Charlotte region and North and South Carolina.”

Charlotte’s ties to Germany date to its founding: The city takes its name from Queen Charlotte, who married England’s King George III in 1761. Charlotte was from the German territory of Mecklenburg-Strelitz; thus, the city of Charlotte sits in Mecklenburg County.

Germany maintains strong business ties here, too. According to the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, 215 German-owned companies call the Charlotte region home, employing 19,941 people. Germany is — by a substantial margin — the country with the largest foreign direct investment locally. The United Kingdom ranks second with 121 companies and 7,914 employees.

German companies with Charlotte-region operations include Daimler, Mann + Hummel Filtration Technology, Schaeffler, and Siemens.
