I think a default preference for old white guys is a product of American white supremacist culture which both parties are guilty of. Just seems absurd to criticize Republicans for seemingly preferring our current white president to our lone Black ex-President. None of us would have jumped for joy over a Ben Carson or Herman Cain Presidency.

Not knocking Biden, just think it’s a ridiculous criticism. “We prefer our white guy for non-racist reasons, but they prefer our white guy for racist reasons.” Anyway, it’s not worth arguing about further.
