2023-2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Thread

I admit to a fair amount of self loathing and a tremendous amount of disappointment in both Wake and UVA. That said, if you stuck both in the B12, they'd each have a .300-.400 conference record.
They really probably wouldn't though. Conference play can obviously be weird, but:

TCU is 32nd in KP and 8-8 in the Big 12. Texas Tech is 33rd and 10-8. Wake is 21st in KP.
Kansas State is 68th in KP and 7-9 in the Big 12. UVA is 69th.

Wake is 45 spots above UVA in KP - I don't think that you should paint them both with the same broad brush.

This long standing ovation for Bacot is cutting into the Tech game start time.

Aside from ND getting curbstomped, tonight’s ACC games and Florida are going well for us.

Jacksonville and Robert McCray V pulled the biggest upset of the conference tourney season so far. They were the 10 seed in the ASUN tourney and won the tourney opener over #8 Kennesaw State on Monday. Then, last night, Jacksonville upset the #1 seed Eastern Kentucky (coached by AW Hamilton) on the road. McCray had 24 points 4 boards and 4 assists. Jacksonville will now play #3 seed Stetson tomorrow in the semis. FWIW, the ASUN #2 seed Lipscomb also lost last night. With the top two seeds already cooked, the remaining ASUN teams are:

#211 Stetson
#231 Austin Peay (lets go Peay!)
#250 N. Alabama
#275 J'ville

It's now a very real possibility that Robert McCray will get to the NCAAT. Would not be shocked to see McCray back on a Power Conference roster next year, and certainly by 2025. Kid has a lot of talent.

Never knew why we played Taylor five times as much as we played McCray.

So very possible Ody, Whitt, McCray, and Massoud make the tournament at their new schools before we’ve even made it.

Ody is not making the NCAAT. There is a better chance that WF and Cincy play in the NIT. Fun.

Pepperdine leads Pacific 28-2 to open the WCC tournament. Both teams have fired their coaches, with apparently different reactions.

McCray has 33 points for Jacksonville in the semis of the Atlantic Sun. Dolphins up 4 with a minute left at STETSON.

Maybe he will break the curse stemming back to Bzzzzzz's first game.
