2023 WF Baseball - Schedule Released

Just can't get 2 on with 0 outs and not get something, especially vs BC. I was hoping a sweep may indicate a shift towards the good for Deacs. Still time but when Wilken hits into a DP off a mediocre reliever, I'm not encouraged. Just got to get to the point where we handle business. It's what gets Louisville, UVa, etc to the CWS.
 
Minacci is our best pitcher by far. I said the same thing last year after Cusick.
 
Very bad loss…especially if we expect to be taken seriously in ACC
 
Tough loss. McGraw was terrible. If he gets some outs early I feel like BC kind loses it’s will given we were up 5-1. Thought the pen looked good but the everything just sputtered. We are T going to score double digits every game. Needed a good start but didn’t get it. Win midweek and then clobber Duke at home.
 
Bc plays one close game every series they beat us and Miami and they lost an extras to Louisville and Virginia. Still dissapointing because we had a great opportunity to sweep a series and we let it slip through our fingers

2022 Baseball Standings
 
The unbalanced ACC schedule with this many schools is even more pronounced in baseball than any other sport. Taking 2/3 on the road against anyone is good. Us drawing GT and UVA from the Coastal in the first 3 weekends of ACC play is the bad luck.
 
WF is .500 against teams that have an aggregate record of 22-26 in ACC play.

WF's remaining opponents have an aggregate record of 28-32 in ACC play.
 
Deacs play @ Elon on Tuesday. Elon is 14-13. They are 0-4 against ACC teams:

L 5-1 @ UNC
L 10-2 @ WF
L 11-3 v. ND
L 2-1 v NC State

12-16 (3-9) Duke plays @ the Couch this weekend. Duke has had a brutal ACC schedule to start the season: #2 UVA (1-2), #20 UNC (1-2), #13 FSU (1-2), #9 Miami (0-3).

We need to go at least 3-1 this week. Obviously 4-0 would be ideal but we need to start moving up the ACC standings while we have a lull against some lower teams.
 
FSU drops to 20th after being swept by N.D.
I argued they weren't that good at the beginning of the year.

wonder who will start today given mascolo pitched a bunch vs BC and keener started on saturday.
 
My nephew went to see Las Vegas vs Reno last night. Nate Mondou played 2nd and Parker Dunshee is on the pitching staff, both for Vegas. Stuart Fairchild CF for Reno
