ACC Divisional Realignment

not exactly a ringing endorsement

Well, a tiny private school has a certain ceiling in terms of major college football ... but Wake seems at least interested in maximizing that ceiling. The problem with the ACC isn't Wake or BC (though you can't have a league entirely of small private schools) it's the bigger schools that run their football programs like they flat out don't give any shits. Syracuse, North Carolina, UVa, etc. Those are the prime fucking offenders.

to say unc does care is a bit of a stretch. didnt they create a whole sham department to keep the players eligible? now you can argue they didnt get the desired winning results.

The ACC's "two highest ranked teams" idea would seem bad for Wake. After 2006, some of our teams were not good but nonetheless stood a good chance of making the CG with one more victory (wasn't that almost achieved in, what, 2011 vs. Clemson?). Had we won that game, the two highest ranked probably wouldn't have included us.

Yeah. That's why I'm fine with flexible divisions especially to counter any plan for the highest ranked teams instead of the teams with the best records.

The "highest ranked teams" thing is suggested ONLY to keep teams like Wake/Duke/GT from getting to the championship. They want FSU/Miami/Clemson/VaTech in there year after year
