Alabama Tea Bagger Gets Two Years in Jail

So the offender pled guilty and gets 2 years in jail. 2 years? Granted his actions were offensive, but people with serious drug or weapon charges often do not get that much time. This has got to be some sort of political move to appease Obama via Reggie Love.

This dude better hope his cellmates do not find out that he is in there for putting his junk on another dude's face, or it will be a rough 2 years for him.

Curious: Would the charge have been different had it been a chick instead of a dude who was passed out and getting donged?

Downing gave one-word responses as he answered questions from the judge about whether he understood the deal. His parents sat quietly in the gallery.

"I believe while we felt we had a strong case at trial, which we did, the fact is, if he lost he'd have to register as a sex offender," Kennedy said after Downing's plea.

"He has a one-year-old son. Is it worth the risk of never seeing a little league game or dropping your child off at school? He decided no."

This sentence is ridiculous. If he'd broken a beer bottle over the guy's head and sent him to the hospital he wouldn't have gotten 2 years. Put him on probation and make him do some sort of behavior modification course. What an utter waste of public resources.

He also had a form of Unlawful Sexual Contact charge which was dropped as a part of the plea I believe, so no. A conviction for that charge would have meant he had to register as a sex offender as well.
 
Louisiana is a fucked up state when it comes to law and order. Two years is absurd. Any jail time at all is absurd. The potential of being registered as a sex offender is absurd. Give him a medal, for fuck's sake. It was an LSU fan, after all.
 
Fuck 'im. If you're the sort of guy who places his bb's on another guy's face for fun, you're the sort of trash genteel society (Hi!) is better off disposing of. I hope he's murdered in prison. About 6 months after unrequested castration. Hey, inmates - no anaesthesia necessary. kthxbye!
