What's extreme isn't what Trump did, it's the entirely out-of-proportion reaction from his political opponents, the press, and many weak-kneed Republicans.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren decried Trump's order saying that "a Muslim ban by any other name is still a Muslim ban," and that it "is a betrayal of American values."

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer shed crocodile tears as he called Trump's actions "mean-spirited and un-American," adding that "it was implemented in a way that created chaos and confusion across the country."

The New York Times and other news outlets ran pieces suggesting — without a shred of evidence — that Trump had selected only countries in which his company didn't have business dealings.

....

This has, unfortunately, been the pattern since Trump took the oath of office. All the actions Trump has taken so far are ones he promised months ago to tackle immediately, yet they are all treated as shocking developments.

It is hard to see how Trumps' critics are helping their cause when they react to everything Trump does as if it were a world-ending catastrophe.

Absolutely. Every single time with no apologies.

In the five years after the Syrian war started in 2011, Obama had admitted all of 1,883 Syrian refugees. Obama's highly controversial decision last year to let in 13,000 didn't make a dent in the 4 million-plus Syrian refugee population.

Lots of facts in that article that are a bit too inconvenient. They're going to bitch about everything and then finally bitch about something legitimate and nobody will care at that point.

are you dumb fellas have an opinion every time there's a thing to have an opinion about jeez so nervous

yes, just like the repubs did every time Obama did something that he had promised when there was a Democratic majority his first two years and when Trump passes something into law we are going to gather with our weapons and march and yell like the Tea Party people did.

People who opposed what Trump said he was going to tackle immediate are still agree when he actually does it.

Every "world-ending catastrophe" started with small events met with relative indifference.

People were upset when he proposed his solutions but they were told what he was doing was just for show and his positions weren't that extreme, he would dial it back once in office. Wrong he is what he has always been and therefore people's outrage was justified before he did what he said he was going to do and more so now that he is doing it. It's why the disapprove numbers creep up and up as more I guess he's a republican I'll vote for him voters get tired of the bullshit after one week.

Latest Rasmussen poll numbers say 57% of Americans approve of his temp ban on refugees from these countries. You people do not represent the entirety of America by any means.

Folks took him literally instead of seriously, and now everyone is forced to do both.

And, how, exactly is he being held to account when every time he does something folks rush off and throw a mess of spaghetti against the wall. Almost all of it falls to the ground. A bit of it sticks. And he points at all the shit on the ground and says "see, look at these idiots - they're all wrong."

Also rumor there's going to be a solid religious freedom executive order aka let's shit on gay rights coming this week. If it happens, and lets be honest it probably will, then what happened to it's settled he wouldn't touch that, look he held a LGBQT flag up.

Why not give him credit for adding respect for the lgbt community to the vetting process? Do you want people who believe stoning someone to death is an acceptable punishment for homosexuality being allowed into the country? Once again, anything to hate Trump.
