Austin Proehl

Yes. The Abbate interception game.

Watching that game in the basement with my dad, and he turned to me and said, "I'm not really sure I want to think about how many years being a wake fan has taken off of your life."

Kenny Duckett (RIP) and Wayne Baumgardner were pretty good.

What is the best WR corps at Wake?

In my lifetime:

'98: Clark, Fabian Davis, John Stone (more known as a returner)

'06: Moore, Morton, Marion, Idlette (would have been Boldin too if he weren't suspended)

'11: Givens and Camp

Add Jammie Deese to the 1998 squad. Fabian Davis redshirted in 1998.

The best WR corps was 1997. Clark, Davis, and Deese.

Tabhiti Davis and Jamie Deese were in that group with Clark.

eta: Yep. Ph beat me to it.

I don't know. Hard to top two WR that are playing in the NFL (2011)

Brim was most highly recruited player to ever sign with WFU. He started slowly at the line of scrimmage but then turned on the burners- had crazy speed. He had hard hands and caught balls with his body but still is near the top of most of WF receiving records. Regarding Proehl, I never saw him drop a pass and he ran faster when he needed to get under a long pass. He was sweet. We all know how good Camp was . Didn't mean any disrespect for Duckett and Baumgardner, who were a great duo. Steve Young at tight end and the ladies man who caught the 90 yard pass in Japan were great too.

Ricky was one of the best receivers if not the best of all time at Wake.

He and Camp are the top 2 I've seen.

Desmond Clark was pretty good.

James Brim was really good back in the day too.

Yes he was. A grown ass bad man.

Didn't RP attend a frat party wearing nothing but a 12 pack box over his head? The apple must not fall very far from the tree.

Lineman from the mid-fifties. Head of the Deacon Club in years afterward, maybe the first one.
