Did you see the marking on the map where is shows that a gray dot is N/A.

Do I need to explain what geographic area each of the gray areas is ?

I think Iceland is the most surprising because it's a lot "warmer" than a lot of other countries' lowest. But I guess as they say:

Some of those are probably on top of Alps. Turkey surprised me the most.

Mt Ararat in Turkey is a 16,000ft peak at the same latitude as West Virginia, where the all time record low is -38 C and the highest point is 4800ft
