BillBrasky Memorial Political Chat Thread

Looks like white women are getting into the business of perpetrating terroristic threats, which is usually white guy stuff.

I saw a headline that Tim Scott was considering a run for president and Nikki Haley announced today

other examples of two presidential candidates in the same party from the same state?

did Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio run the same year?

They definitely both ran in 2016. Trump gave them stupid nicknames and kicked their ass.

Republicans are going to run 15 opponents to Trump, split the vote, and Trump will roll to the presidency because dems won't challenge Biden.

God damnit.

Trump would win the GOP nomination regardless of the number of opponents because the vast majority of Republicans love him. Criminal prosecution is the only thing that can prevent that.

Does Trump count as a Floridian? If so him and Meatball

I think Trump would get crushed in a re-election bid. The country is exhausted with him and has moved on. He has a base of loyal voters for sure, but he won his 2016 election on the strength of novelty. He isn’t novel anymore, his politics aren’t novel anymore, and his electoral presence has shrunk every election since 2016. He’s a spent force. The biggest reason that Donald Trump would lose is that all the potential Trump voters already lived through a Trump presidency. They already rode that carnival ride.

This is correct. The Apprentice was a hit in season 1. Season 4, not so much. Only real question is if he's got enough crazies into the whole state certifying the election shit to burn the country down after the loss.

This is a good comparison.

Obama used to quote Biden as saying, “Don't judge me against the Almighty, judge me against the alternative." Sure Biden doesn't look that good when you judge him against the "Almighty" ideal younger moderate/centrist/liberal/progressive/socialist candidate. But he looks pretty good against the alternative of Dem slap fight primary or four more years of Trump or four years of DeSantis fascism.
