Mecklenburg County (on the state line) - 1,115,482 residents
Cabarrus County - 240,141 residents
Iredell County - 194,871 residents
Total 1,550,494 residents

That's 2.2 congressional districts. Cut the southern half of Mecklenburg off and give Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson to Cabarrus and Iredell for a second district. I think the southern Mecklenburg district would be competitive, but probably lean Democrat.

That's close to two. The average size of a Congressional district is around 760K.

Gotta let more of those Covington assholes make fools of themselves then leave their aborted fetus posters on the ground in the Union Station Metro station or Stanton Park

yeah, i don't think people understand the US Navy's role in free ocean trade. not all of this is wrapped up in pirates but come on
western media is very purposefully not connecting the Houthis actions to the situation in Gaza, when they have explicitly stated they are attempted to blockade sea trade to Israel.

On CNN's front page right now.....

Houthi fighters march during a rally of support for the Palestinians in Gaza and against the US strikes on Yemen, outside the capital Sanaa on January 22.

There was a 30 minute The Daily on the Houthi's the fact they are doing this to get a ceasefire, but it is also because they believe now is the time to strike. They feel invincible and more or less welcome a war from the United States.

Not to be overly defensive of the USA because I think our policy has been terrible over there, but we have to show that attacking trade ships in the Red Sea is not ok - a ton of the world's commerce travels through there. If capitalism is threatened, that's where USA thrives in bombs.

What specifically is the US Navy’s role in controlling free-trade here?

Who stops us from restricting trade?

The US has been restricting trade to Yemen for a decade. Where was the outcry? Who polices the police?
