If the predicted 2 and a 1/2 point fed interest rate drop happens next year. That's gonna really suck for Republican "The economy is in shambles" message when the stock market is going gangbusters during election season.

Isn’t the GOP party line in that case just that democrats are out of touch and the stock market doesn’t mean anything to average Americans?

They always have a backup plan. In 2012, their response to low unemployment was that Obama was faking the numbers.
 
Can someone give a legitimate reason why our Secretary of Transportation needs to go visit the Ukraine?

 
The Secretary of Transportation is a member the Cabinet and responsible for all international agreements regarding travel, travel investments, airline/rail permissions to and from the US and within its partner countries, etc. Actually propping up Ukraine's transportation during wartime is a fairly significant deal, not unusual at all that he'd go there as an advisor to the President.
