Cake or pie?

Cheesecake is my favorite but i'm not sure it REALLY qualifies as a cake. Remove it from the equation and pie > cake.
 
Cake has a higher ceiling, but it's rather rare to come across truly elite cake. Average to good pie though, is much better than equivalent cake. So E(pie) > E(cake).

by 'some other thing' i don't just mean name a better dessert than cake or pie

i just mean doofus/numbers or whatever poll option ppl typically use to complain about the poll lacking the option they want
 
Cheesecake is by all objective measures more of a pie than a cake. Even without that, pie > cake.

Maybe I'm just lucky to live near Maxie B's, but cake, all the way.
 
had pie at my wedding instead of cake

i'm not sure i have ever had a cake that was nearly as good as just any old average pie

Ok, but I still think bread pudding is better than both pie and cake.
