I feel like this shouldn't be buried on the gun violence thread.

21 year old walks into a church prayer meeting / bible study at a historic black church, sits with them for an hour, and then starts shooting. 9 dead. They've caught the shooter.

His father gave him a gun for his birthday recently.

Pictures from his facebook show him sporting an Apartheid-era South African flag, which is apparently a thing. From the Anti Defamation League:

Since 1994, white supremacists in South Africa and elsewhere around the world, including the United States, have adopted the 1928 flag as a symbol of white supremacy.
