Someone asked earlier where the cool chat thread posters are. I haven't seen Chupe post in a minute. Maybe I missed it?
 
Asked my wife about WAP and daughters. She shrugged and said “WGAF, and why are you letting young kids listen to it? Your internet friends are lame or hypocrites; just chill dudes.”
 
I’d seriously be ok with my kids singing WAP if it meant that I didn’t have to listen to another month of Gangam Style on repeat.

Btw, the kids fav parts of the video are when Psy randomly screams at the girl’s ass and when the fella in the cowboy hat executes 12 seconds of pelvic thrusts while standing atop Psy in the elevator.

for what it's worth i agree with you on all of this, and my user name is also less appropriate now than in 1999 when i thought it up in 30 seconds.
 
Various thoughts on this.

I like how Salt n Pepa apparently was never a thing, though I guess they did apply a little more subtlety. I giggle at the "get a bucket and a mop" line, but don't get the "macaroni in a pot" bit (or, perhaps, I don't want to get it). As the parent of a 13 year old daughter, I guarantee she is exposed to way more stuff than I can even imagine- just as I was when I was the 13 year old son of clueless parents. We try to manage that some by keeping her phone-free until high school and restrict her use of social media, hoping she develops more maturity before having to engage on those platforms to have any semblance of a social life. It seems like she's doing ok with it all and she generally tries to make good decisions. Time will tell, I reckon.

What's new is children being able to (A) digest incredible amounts of highly sexualized content [on the internet], (B) produce [via cell phones] highly sexualized content in response, and (C) share [internet+cell phone] the highly sexualized content that they produced with (i) pedophiles, and (ii) adolescent peers thereby perpetuating a cycle of A, B, and C.

Straight up, there is a way-too-high chance that if your child has released content onto the internet, they have received some type of feedback (constructive or otherwise) from a pedophile.

I've interacted with more than 50, but less than 100 pedophiles. A huge number of them didn't have a job beyond sitting at their computer day-in and day-out farming sexualized child content on various platforms, aggregating that content to CP sites, where a larger host of pedophiles can make decisions as to whether or not to individually pursue the original creator of that content (a child).

In my day to day life, I am 100% against fear mongering, because I think it leads to some very bad law making. But this danger is so fucking real to me that I can't help posting this shit.
 
After reflecting on my posts today I don't change any of my opinions. I do think life experiences shape these opinions, like PH said, having children. But it has nothing to do with race, Ph.

But for real for real, I've always been opposed to sexually explicit music, even as an impressionable kid.

Sorry to keep harping on this, guys.

What freaks me out about the Tik Tok, Youtube, whatever content is that it is present. A large number of CP offenders just download CP pictures from torrent sites. These are like the lowest risk offenders, maybe a bored college student or some creepy hoarder that is trying to collect all the porn on the internet. With the click of a button, they can download TBs of CP. Very low risk at having a "hands on" offense.

The youtube/TikTok/Telechat/WhatsApp/Skype predators are a whole different fucking ball game. Those are dudes who aren't looking at historical content; they are farming real-time content. They have a crazy higher propensity to engage in transitional/progressive conduct; from online content, to chats, to IRL. Real Chris Hansen shit.
