I disagree with you
millennials love the flipped boomer/war generation houses in my neighborhood. sellers of unrenovated homes are getting slaughtered, though
This is a fun search result that Google just supplied me with:
we live out in the country, but only about 15 minutes from downtown but in a mini development of 4 houses with 2 more planned. we bought the second house they sold and paid about $20k under asking since it had sat on the market for over a year (very overpriced, and they had already reduced the price about $50k from original listing). the 2 newer houses have recently sold after only a few months on the market and they're similarly appointed but smaller and each has sold for about $50k more than we paid. pretty shocked by that especially if you were to look at the comps.
It's 2019 if any or all of those players want to play both ways, we should support them.
Our house is 20 years old in the suburbs but prices seem to keep going up because of the growth in Atlanta and we are in a decent school district.
