The most amazing thing about being a high school basketball coach is that it's socially acceptable for parents to call you a fucking moron in a public setting whenever they feel it is warranted. To which your only acceptable reply is, "I'm sorry you feel that way. Do you care to elaborate on why I am a fucking moron so as to help me prevent being a fucking moron in the future?" To be fair, I am a fucking moron, but it still is upsetting that the general public is aware of it.

It doesn't happen to me personally very often at all (mostly due to the nature of my job), but I'm in meetings a lot where I see it happening to other people. And those other people are often senior executives. Watching an SVP sit there and have to take it can be amusing. I'm sure it's less amusing to their reports once they leave the meeting and have to then eat the shit from their SVP like they are in a human centipede, but that's not my problem.

A lot of them think that coaches are intentionally trying to ruin their kid's lives, that's for sure. They say some things that occasionally lack perspective.

yeah same here. seen some pretty epic takedowns of executive folks from c-level folks. thankfully have not been on the receiving end of one of those yet as a vendor.
 
could bkf ask for reinstatement? he self-banned based on a bet and didn't really break any rules (outside of the rarely enforced DBADB rule). townie would you give your blessing to him coming back? he actually sounded somewhat lucid in his most recent, now thwarted, comeback. maybe TWMD is right and it was the cancer meds that were jacking his brain up and he's all better now.
 
this was just stupid, a VP sent and email to a bunch of execs complaining about a thing i work on

it should have been his line manager talking directly to me about the problem instead of copying half of our technology leadership, and half of it was bullshit anyway

so i had to spend half my morning crafting a response that would be sufficiently respectful of his bullshit email and not defensive but telling him all the ways he was wrong

I don't know. I've never really had an interest in that, so I've really noticed the uptick in occurrence over the last two years or so (because fuck that, I'm scrolling as fast as I can to the Brazillian fart porn).

Maybe it's a forbidden fruit thing? I really don't get it. I think I'd lean toward the MILF shit (ur mom lol) way before the fake step-sister thing.
