Buc-ees is the embodiment of America. It is convenience mixed with driving culture along with patriotism, false idols, consumerism, and gastronomy. It is oversized yet feels small once you are inside. It is a modern oasis that provides thirsty travelers sustenance and everything else they could ever want. There is a reason they arise in the middle of nowhere along a route of pilgrimage. Hundreds of years ago, travelers would stop at road side shrines and leave offerings and pray for a safe journey, Buc-ees is the evolution of that practice. Pay your money and travel with a beaver to get you to your destination. It is a place where a high school graduate can rise up to manager and earn $160k a year. It provides hundreds of jobs in areas that are economically depressed. Buc-ees is both the best and worst of America. It is the Alpha and the Omega of our country. It history mixed with the future in the most American way possible. It is not good, it is not evil, but it is American.

Car wash managers start at a salary of $125,000, while foodservice managers are paid anywhere between $125,000 and $175,000. Yeah it does. My mom lives at Seaside. But it has gotten absolutely insane in popularity the last 10 years or so. Last week was Atlanta spring break and the sheriff implemented an 8 pm curfew for any unaccompanied yutes. Seaside even had to push it back to 645 a few nights. The kids are super rude and entitled. They arrested one for shooting people with a BB gun. My mom said she was in Publix yesterday and the manager had never seen so many rude and entitled kids.
