what’s the annual gap between ACC and SEC/BigTen schools- like $50 mm vs. $70 mm?
Agree on both counts. The SEC already has that market.I doubt that this is true but I think that if FSU were to leave, they would be much more likely to go to the Big 10 than to the SEC.
"Football is all that matters."f$u, you're fired! Move along. Sooner, the better!
Your crap bball team that lost the ACC the sec challenge outright win continues to kill the conference NET rating!
GOOD RIDDANCE!

Genuine question- do people actually think the ACC is stronger without FSU? And if so, who do you realistically replace them with that you think is stronger?Nope. NCAAT rules and always will.
f$u sucking in hoops now. USF, really??
F$U needs to quit trash talking the ACC. They do that and it becomes easy to devalue F$U wins over ACC teams. Better to say you are working hard and beating good teams instead of saying you are pounding trash every week.Genuine question- do people actually think the ACC is stronger without FSU? Agree, but what has the ACC done to help them?F$U needs to quit trash talking the ACC. They do that and it becomes easy to devalue F$U wins over ACC teams. Better to say you are working hard and beating good teams instead of saying you are pounding trash every week.
If F$U leaned into something like "the ACC has a bunch of good teams that beat each other up." And "ACC teams beat more SEC teams than vice versa" this year, they might be in the CFP instead of a New Year's Six Bowl.
F$U was independent prior to joining the ACC. Gave them a conference championships game to play in (if good enough). Gave them access to bowl games. Guaranteed TV money. "Not enough" now, but plenty the day the current GoR was signed.Agree, but what has the ACC done to help them?
I think their attitude has been awful but we need them. Instead of going to bat for them so they go all in on the ACC, we appear to be pushing them away. This is super shortsighted IMO.F$U was independent prior to joining the ACC. Gave them a conference championships game to play in (if good enough). Gave them access to bowl games. Now they want to leave, because the ACC they trashed "isn't good enough?"
Leave 11x whatever somebody thinks your TV rights for all sports are worth, plus $120 million.

I agree the FSU has benefited from being in the ACC but they were in the league for 13 years before there was a championship game to play in. And I don't think that not being in a conference kept them out of bowl games, at least initially. Before joining the ACC they played in the Orange Bowl (2x), Cotton Bowl, Gator Bowl (4x), Peach Bowl (2x), Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl (3x), Tangerine/Citrus Bowl (2x), among others.F$U was independent prior to joining the ACC. ACC - and all of its members- benefited more having FSU in conference than other way around for majority of their 30 year tenure. FSU coming in the 90’s made everyone sharpen pencil in 90’s in what had been largely a basketball focused conference since inception that paid lip service to football season. Focusing more on football in 90’s made conference stronger by early 2000’s and made us on winning side of first re-alignment cycle when Miami, VT, and BC came in.I agree the FSU has benefited from being in the ACC but they were in the league for 13 years before there was a championship game to play in. FSU had a string of 13 consecutive years ranked #4 or better in the final AP poll - 5 before joining the ACC, and 8 to start their ACC tenure. They won their first, second and third national championships as members of the ACC.ACC - and all of its members- benefited more having FSU in conference than other way around for majority of their 30 year tenure.
