Most definitely. If the pubs have power, then they are for it.
Pubs are against federal mandates unless they're in power.
Pubs are for state power unless the Dems control the state. Pubs are for local power except in the liberal cities.

The entire schtick of DeSantis is to look at whatever the Biden Administration or federal government or CDC and other mainstream medical experts are advising or doing about covid and having the Florida state government do the exact opposite. And not only do the opposite, but make sure that DeSantis gets maximum national publicity for doing so. It's pandering to Trump's base to the ultimate degree, and not only will he likely not pay any price for it, but he'll likely coast to victory in his gubernatorial election in November. And after that will come the run for the GOP nomination in 2024 as the brave governor who heroically stood up to the LibDem elites trying to steal the freedums of Florida residents via covid restrictions and vaccine mandates. And this anti-elitist "populism" comes from a guy who went to Yale and Harvard Law.

LOL at anybody in Virginia who really believed that he would not govern as a hard-right Trumpite. In his inaugural he said that Virginians must be unified and promised to represent Democrats too - and then he promptly signed nine executive orders that included, among other things, abolishing state covid masking and vaccine mandates, eliminating CRT from schools, and "cutting business regulations by 25%." Oh yeah, he's a real moderate all right.

Nice way to deflect and not address the point Angus. A nation of 25 million has less than 3,000 deaths, while your boy DeSantis has governed a state of 21 million with over 63,000 deaths. What a great leader he is Angus - you must be so proud!
