Covid-19 - Treatments & Vaccines

Member of Cabarrus County School Board blames recent surge in covid cases on "illegal aliens." Although the board is nonpartisan, everything about this guy screams hard-core Trumpite.

“I’ve got a lot to say about this, but better not," Cabarrus County school board member Tim Furr said during a work session Monday night. “I’m not trying to be on a high horse, and I’m not trying to make this political, but until this government keeps illegal aliens by the thousands coming across that border without masks, with COVID, putting them on buses, sending them all over the United States, we’re just beating our heads against the wall.” Naturally, he also voted against making masking mandatory in Cabarrus County schools this year.

After getting criticism for his remarks he tried to walk them back, saying that he didn't mean to imply that the local surge in covid cases was caused by illegal immigrants. He also said that he couldn't be a racist because he was a football coach. <snort>

One of my Fox-addicted relatives told me last week that illegal immigrants were behind the surge in covid cases around the country and that she's seen stories about it on Fox, and that Biden was just letting them pour over the border. I wonder if this dude is a Fox viewer as well.

They fit “illegal immigrants” into any story. That’s just xenophobia.

Member of Texas Republican Executive Committee dies from covid, after making countless tweets and social media posts attacking and ridiculing people for masking and getting vaccinated, and attacking doctors and other health professionals working to cure or treat the virus. Said that Texans should just ignore federal "dictates" and recommendations regarding the pandemic. He was only 45, and leaves behind a wife and 5 month old baby. On his Twitter bio he listed himself as a Christian and "Rotund Firebrand", and states "1st Amendment: A Freedom OF Religion, not a Freedom FROM religion...There is no problem for which God is not the answer." Too bad he didn't use his God-given brain to get the covid vaccine.

Looks like the covid surge in Florida is finally getting to DeSantis - he's in full deflection mode.

Pretty good rapper though.

Probably has something to do with a poll showing him losing the Governor race.

LOL - Did the Biden administration hire the Tunnels' favorite Covid "scientist" (Rebekah Jones) to spread misinformation?

Also, have any of the resident Tunnels scholars compared the FL vax rates to that of the United States? You might be surprised with the data.

Or are the intellectuals who have been burned time after time again simply accepting any tweet from Jen Psaki as fact?

Your brain remains broken, anus. There is zero consistency between encouraging vaccinations -- and all he did was make them available like every other governor -- and prohibiting schools from requiring masks, or suing cruise lines for requiring them and fining them $5k for even asking if people are vaccinated.

There's a reason FL and TX are blowing up right now. How many deaths are on this idiot's hands?

Pretty sure Florida is like middle of the road for vaccinations, which seems about right. Its a Trump state so those dumb fucks won’t get vaccinated where it’s somewhat cancelled out by the population being old as shit and despite wanting to worship at the alter of the orange shit stain self-preservation sometimes wins out.

As a MENSA member, why don't you educate all of us???

Dumbass posts a screen shot without a link. Why are you people engaging this asshole? He has no desire to have an intelligent or productive conversation. He just wants to "gotcha" except he doesn't even understand that most of his gotchas actually disprove his point. He isn't going to understand your arguments so you aren't going to win. Take it as an opportunity to see what the ignorant nutjobs are thinking and use that if you have loved ones who might be influenced by it.

All true, but it is amusing watching Angus jump every time someone posts a (well-deserved) criticism of DeSantis. He's clearly in love with the guy and leaps to his defense like a teen girl who has just seen her boyfriend insulted.

Idk why folks choose to engage the guy on facts. He’s not here for that. Just put on ignore.
