it's still him imo, and that's a pretty specific situation - his connection with the image is common knowledge and all you have to do is google his name to learn about it. girlfriends, coworkers, the maintenance guy can all pull up a mass produced image of him and his baby junk swimming through the water

not sure the reaction is 100% on him i guess is my point

This Texas Teen Beat a Murder Rap. Now She’s Wanted for Torching Couple.

A young woman in Texas who beat murder charges last year in the shooting death of a 20-year-old woman with disabilities is now wanted by police after allegedly breaking into a couple’s suburban Houston home, dousing them with a liquid, and setting them ablaze.

Authorities on Monday named Emma Presler, 19, as the prime suspect in the horrific Aug. 6 incident, which left 33-year-old Devin Graham dead and his wife, 26-year-old Karissa Lindros, hospitalized with burns across 70 percent of her body. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office on Monday filed murder charges against Presler, who remains on the run.

Last September, Presler was charged in the murder of 20-year-old Cypress, Texas, woman Sierra Rhodd as she slept. On Sept. 13, 2020, Rhodd, who suffered from cerebral palsy, was shot and killed in a flurry of bullets fired into her family’s home. Cops said the shooters took off in several vehicles, including a red pickup truck owned by Presler’s boyfriend, Austin McCalla, which Presler was found driving nearby.

It's not CP. It's not even close.

There is no lascivious display of genitalia. The photograph is not sexual in nature. This is one of those things that a Facebook keyboard warrior might try to argue, but anyone familiar with the subject matter isn't going to think this is a close call.
 
She looks kinda psycho hot in that mugshot but a follow up search reveals that she is most definitely not.

So, I took a minute to read about it. The dude is suing because the band didn't show up to his art show or whatever. The dude has fucking recreated the album cover for it's 10th, 17th, 20th, and 25th anniversaries.

He's named Dave Grohl, Kobain's estate, Courtney Love, and others. This is 100% a cash grab, and this grown-ass-man should feel fucking ashamed.

"Mr. Elden suffered “permanent harm” because of his association with the album, including emotional distress and a “lifelong loss of income-earning capacity.” The lawsuit did not provide details about the losses and said they would be disclosed at trial."

Eat shit, Mr. Elden.

“It’d be nice to have a quarter for every person that has seen my baby penis,” he said in a New York Post interview in 2016.
 
Yah, trying to make the CP claim is the big stretch here that takes into absurdity.

He has (in the past) leaned a little into the album as an opportunity, but even then he's kind of seemed conflicted about it, so I do sympathize a little bit with him. OTOH cmon, you're not getting denied a job because your baby penis was on an album cover (if someone did google you and see that).
 
Would he even be as google-able in relation to this if he hadn't done the recreations/made himself as publicly known prior to this lawsuit, too?
 
Finally, the parents the main ones at fault here. They're the ones who gave consent for their naked baby to be used in a photoshoot, and that's where the buck stops IMO.

But if we're just gonna say that's bad/parents shouldn't be able to provide consent for their children in photoshoots, I feel like that just means we shouldn't have child modeling or marketing for kids below a certain age, period..

Parents do shitty things, but I don't think this is really that high up there on the, "damaging behaviors" list. Child actors are a thing and always will be. Parents have to (and should) be part of that. You can bring Guardian Ad Litems into the conversation, but I don't think it's workable to have every child have one.

There's almost no way. The person who bought his photograph paid his parents $200.
 
Yeah, I don't think it's that damaging, just following that argument through to its natural conclusion re: children in modeling and marketing. It does seem a little unfair for a kid to have his junk plastered all over the world without consent, it's gotta put him in a weird headspace.. even if there is no easy link.
 
The history of child actors and psychological problems should at least raise some more red flags in this arena tbh..

Just because parents consent doesn't mean that parents are looking out for their children or understand what the effects of fame as a young child will be.

i just started a new job that has "summer hours." until labor day your work week ends at 1 PM every Friday all summer. too bad this is only my second week.

Yeah, we implemented that about a year ago year round. Though I can't say I do much work on Fridays if it's a half day.
 
We've been doing half day fridays since about 3 months into the pandemic and it's been glorious. Of course if you're important enough you still get dragged into shit on Fridays from time to time (mainly because the exec team is largely west coast time), but for the most part it has still been pretty great.
