Did OBL raid stop plan to attack our railroads?

If it wasn't for the fact that Obama said he would go in Pakistan and get Bin Laden and was roundly criticized for it by the Republican establishment, I'd agree from you, ONW.

There's no reason to believe the Bush administration would have acted on that intelligence in the same manner that brought Bin Laden to justice. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Bin Laden and the Pakinstani government thought Obama wouldn't act on his promise. That's why they figured his compound in the burbs was safe.

It just burns the Republicans up that the "socialist Muslim" had the stones to do what Republicans haven't done. Gone in there with our best troops to get the target. Give credit where credit is due.

the worst foreign attack on US soil since the War of 1812 happened when Bush was in the WH. Yet Republicans try to absolve W of any responsibility for this event.

Second, did you even bother reading the 9/11 Commission report?

I'm going to go ahead and blame Obama for the economy. Is that fair?

The economy is better than it was. we were losing 700,000 jobs per month this month we added 290,000. That's a net gain of about 1M jobs/month.

How isn't that better?

You're giving way too much credit to an individual office holder. If Obama died there wouldn't be 100% unemployment, in fact, the unemployment rate wouldn't change much at all.
 
Of course he is, it's the classy thing to do. It would cause a firestorm if he didn't.

The reality is W stopped looking for him seriously as was shown by his closing of the office to find him and his multiple statements.

I love you guys. No blame for the worst day since Pearl Harbor, starting a war on lies but giving him credit for basically nothing.

If you remember it was about the same time difference between WTC1 and WTC2 and it was from WTC 2 through the end of W's term.

My bad, not saying Obama is awful is equivalent to deifying him to you and others.

Of course not. Credit should go mostly to military then Obama then whatever scraps are left Bush. But Bush does deserve credit for a. the death of UBL and b. no further terrorist attacks post 9-11
 
I'm afraid that a lot of things he had planned we will not find out until they already happen.

It's not jusr waterboarding. We systemically tortured people. Included in this use of torture were many INNOCENT people.

It's aslo BLACK LETTER law that waterboarding people is torture is NEVER allowable according to international law.

We know for a fact that we did. I gave a few already; there were two Brits whom we held and tortured even after their government told they were innocent;there was a Canadian and, of course, there was al Masri form Germany who was kidnapped off the streedt, held and tortured for months, found to be innocent nad then left on the streets in albania without a passport or any cash.

These are but some of them.

If the mission had failed, who would the blame have gone to?
 
Plenty of blame went to Bush already.

The credit should go to all involved. Obama, Bush, and especially the military.
