Did OBL raid stop plan to attack our railroads?

Is it so far fetched to believe Obama is tucked away and being asked to "volunteer" information.

Why would they kill him when they can torture him to give it up?

This thread sure de-railed last night. The idea of attacks of trains / subways really scare me. It just seems like it would be easy to pull off and would cause a lot of havoc.

Well this thread has sure been derailed (pun INTENDED).

The Long Island Railroad serves ~100,000 commuters daily and would be an insanely easy target, especially during the morning rush.
 
The LIR, the Philly suburban trains and the BART all would be easy targets.
 
Pretty much anything other than airports and major government sites and military installations are insanely easy targets. That's why it's terrorism.
 
Trains would be ridiculously easy.

Train travel is also awesome. I would take it everywhere if we actually had the infrastructure to make it work.

The last time I looked, to get from Charlottesville to Charlotte takes like 7 hours and the only train that makes that journey picks up at 8 something and drops off at 2AM in CLT. It's also like $150.
 
Amtrak is my favorite way to go to Del mar for the races. It's about $35RT.

There are tons of places they blow that route up. Many are right by the ocean.

The cherry on top of very good news. Also, there are videos of OBL watching himself on the news... his hair was a whitish gray, curious as to his physical condition in the months leading up to his death.

I like the train. I would like a bullet train system much more, but it's still nice to travel while sitting back and reading a book or taking a nap. Very low stress and not as much rigamarole compared to going through the airport.

I think this attack on the trains talk could all be about making train security more like airports. Gotta sell those irradiating porno body scanners somehow. Gotta desensitize the people to invasions of privacy.
