The one time we tried to make crab dip it was ridiculously expensive and the crab went bad overnight.

We just buy it now.

Thanks. I bought a 1lb can of claw crabmeat at Lowes yesterday for $9.99 and I thought it may be worth the experiment.

8 oz - cheddar
8 oz colby or monterey jack
12 oz picante
two eggs

Shred the cheese and mix it in an oven safe dish. Mix the picante sauce and the eggs separately and then pour over the cheese. (No need to mix them.) Bake at 350 20-30 minutes.

This dip will come out like molten lava, but you won't care. You'll keep burning your mouth to shovel it into your belly with some tortilla chips.
