GOP: accuse Democrats of staging a show trial

GOP: meets with implicated individuals to plan out an actual show trial
 
Whatever the result of this impeachment hearing, it will be pivotal and historic for the country. On the one hand, you have the highly intelligent, competent, and professional foreign intelligence witnesses, a reasonable group of Democrats asking legitimate questions, and on the other hand, a group of Republicans peddling conspiracy theories, outrage over made-up allegations of biased procedures, and a complete inattention to getting the facts.

Frankly, I'm terrified.

The White House announced today they support a full Senate trial. This, of course, comes after they met with Senate Republicans about it today. Surely something fishy has been cooked up.

Not much to cook up. Say phony stuff and saturate the trial with bullshit to obfuscate, acquit, campaign that Dems had phony trial and no evidence and "see we won" and win next election with promises of tax cuts and no more dead babies and the fags can't get married.
 
Nunes will be part of American history as a clown, sycophant, liar and toady.

Senators: Well, 51 GOP senators have pledged an oath to vote against the articles, so why not?

Whitehouse staff: Yeah ok, sounds good.
 
Gotta love Trumper logic: a sitting president cannot be indicted, thus he didn't break the law. It is highly unlikely the GOP senators will vote to impeach the president since he is of their party, so he is innocent of any wrong doing.

Nunes will be completely absent from the history books. Most of the trump hangers on will be forgotten. Trump will consume the texts.

This is so true. In fact, it pretty much summarizes Republican tactics and strategy in every campaign for at least the last twenty years. Tax cuts, stop abortion, and fight da queers. And project everything they're doing and thinking onto the Democrats. And more often than not, it seems to work.
 
Lots of old whites making the voting rules sure has helped. The times they are (hopefully) a changing (softball for you rj!)

He will be tied to Trump for all the outrageous things he has done and said.
