Wake wouldn't care....we would just be happy to have students show up at the game.
I'm sure that if somebody went to undergrad at a different school and then Duke for grad school and attempted the same thing they would be met with nothing but class.
Said no person ever.

Except for me 5 minutes before you posted this.
Yeah commented on the article about the "class" treatment I received from Dukies when I was in school there. I disagree with Ph on this one. I had an undergrad literally try to gag himself to the point of throwing up on my shoes after one game, luckily he didn't succeed. I really wanted to kick him in the face, but he was with about 15 friends.
Why were you sitting near undergrads? There's your mistake.

So you admit you weren't doing what the person complaining in this article was doing! (ie. sitting with undergrads)
Also, I hate Obama from the other end of the political spectrum, 07
I used my grad student tickets at UNC to attend our games there decked out in Wake gear. Of course, my seats were scraping the ceiling but still..."My classmates and I had been in line for the game for hours when the Dean of Students first appeared. He expressed his disbelief at our Duke apparel, and continued to express his disapproval even after we explained we were former Duke students excited to watch our team, and had no intention of actively cheering against Miami. He told us condescendingly that he would allow us to remain in the student line, but he assured us that on behalf of President Donna Shalala, they were not going to let us easily into this game to cheer for Duke in the front of the Miami student section. "
What the hell did they expect? No school is going to be happy with that situation... nor should they be.
Ph, grad section seating is different from undergrad at Cameron, right? I'm just wondering if that makes a difference.
I also wonder, from looking at the picture, if the Miami student section has a required shirt like the SDs had - looks like most or all could be wearing the same shirt. That could have caused the "delay" in the Duke grads getting in. As for the students cursing at them and stuff, meh. It's not the best behavior, but you have to expect it when rooting for the other team, especially in their student section.
About the only thing I find really bad is if the mascot actually threw a piece of pizza and the pizza box at them.
Why were you sitting near undergrads? There's your mistake.
When I was at Wake ('04-'08) the lower level student section was SD only and you were required to wear tie-dye. If you didn't you got kicked out. I saw multiple people in UNC gear kicked out. So, once again, you don't know what you are talking about.
You're pretty specific about the "same thing".
Just saying that Duke realizes what happens when they draw talent to their grad programs. And they set it up accordingly without giving their own students crap.
That said, any time you go to a road game, be as respectful as possible, cheer your team, and don't draw anymore attention to yourself.
matt, at least back when I was was there (a long long time ago), the grad seating was behind one of the baskets and over to the side. There was a dividing point on the TV side bleachers where the grads ended and undergrads began.
If you watch games at Cameron, especially ACC games, you'll occasionally see a small pocket of opposing fans behind the left basket.
The mascot was bad, but the administrators blocking them was worse. Small time.
Well u were in school prior to our culture change (and freefall from relevance).
