i really find it hard to believe that 66% of 'millennials' have never heard of Auschwitz. also, what the hell kind of millennial would do a phone survey in 2018?

Interestingly enough I looked up some of the data around holocaust deniers. it seems like 97% of Americans believe in the holocausts, but a large percentage of the population do not believe 6 million jews were actually killed and those numbers are somehow worse than reality. The vast majority of people who think that way are between 18-35, so almost definitely skew liberal.

Is this similar to how you formed your opinions about Elizabeth Warren's claims to Native American ancestry. I am new to this Feelings>Facts thing so I am seeking expert advice.

No it is a fact that she claimed to be Native American and a women of color while at Harvard, no feelings in that statement.

You have an RJ-esque understanding of data and statistics. And you are making a really dumb generalization about a really dumb study without any other demographic data other than age.

She should’ve at some point just said something like, “you know, I just always heard we had some distant Native American ancestry in my family. At one time, for some people, it was a point of criticism or shame. For me, if true, it would be a point of pride. I should have been more careful before making any public claims about it in my pre-politician days. I apologize—no offense intended.”

Agreed. This was a really dumb political move on her part. I don't know what she expected to come from it. Trump never cared if it was true or not - calling her Pocahontas at rallies is just a part of his rally routine at this point, like saying "you're fired" on his old tv show, and he's not going to stop just because she had a DNA test. In fact, he'll just ridicule her more than ever now. He was never going to pay off that bet either - the guy is on record for bilking contractors for services rendered, so why did she think he would honor a bet? Also, doing this just three weeks before a crucial midterm election was even dumber. Maybe she thought it would win her plaudits from the Democratic base, but she's been catching some flack from even that quarter. If she was advised to do this, that advisor is probably in hot water now.
 
Right. Democrats need to learn they can’t just tell the truth and expect Republicans to stop criticizing them.
