Facebook Gold from Crazies

It did the moment she released a promo video for her test results.

Which happened yesterday, not months or years ago like you claim.

Also your silence about Kevin McCarthy’s brother in law has been noted. For thee, not for me.

Still waiting for a successful example of a socialist economy.....

Tell me, because i have a dangerous ignorance of economics, have there been any attempts at socialism that were undermined by the US, either through military force, covert CIA actions, or embargoes?

You think that this is some great "gotcha" but it's really just a warmed over talking point of the morons at Turning Point USA.

Actually yes, 60s and 70s New Zealand would be a good example.

You might have read my response as *weren't undermined, and that's fine because I wrote it awkwardly. I admittedly don't know a lot about NZ history, but just from brief googling, wasn't the center-right party in power in the 60s? And the labour party was not really a socialist party at the time either, right?

So how is that a good example?

fair question if you assume that the people motivated to actually vote have a tiny quantum of political information driving their decisions vs IDAF people who would show up and just push buttons.

#toomanypeoplevote

my brother-in-law loves complaining about politicians on both sides but says until they get rid of selective service he will never register to vote.

what? what a weird hangup given ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS IN EXISTENCE

he claims to be a libertarian, idk. he hates pretty much anyone in office and is always posting conspiracy theory memes, anti-gun control memes, etc.

he is pretty crazy and whenever we see him in person he always tries to tell us "what's really going on" aka what the media won't tell you.

so dumb. libertarians are free to think libertarianism is great because they live in a land that at least pays lip service to the rule of law

Wasn't sure the appropriate thread for this, so putting it here (even though I obviously don't think it's crazy). I've been doing a lot of thinking recently, and was chatting with my progressive MIL this weekend about it, and I feel like this fairly succinctly puts into words how I feel:

I'm not a single issue voter. I generally agree with most of the "progressive agenda." I don't want to live my life mad at or afraid of everything. I believe in science and want to help people less fortunate than myself and be compassionate towards others. And I honestly have a hard time "putting myself into the shoes" of people that don't feel that way.
