GATOR BOWL VS TEXAS A&M, psyche RUTGERS

Find someone with a crap defense and a QB that isn't mobile. Wake gets to blow someone out, lots of guys play, send the old guys out with a comfortable W and cash the check.

Illinois would play us "if asked" per McMurphy

GATOR BOWL VS TEXAS A&M - A&M Pulls out, Gator Bowl Looking for Replacement

Breach of contract? Idk. That’s why I’m asking. Will they/can they be sued? Do they just get to walk out scot free?

Breach of contract. I’m sure there is a force majure clause and/or a specific Covid clause.

However, 38 players is enough to play a game and that doesn’t include walk ons.

I would think Wake would have to bring suit against Taxslayer for not getting the Bowl payout. Taxslayer would in turn sue A&M.

Do these Taxslayer folks have any pull with the IRS?? Jimbo needs a colonoscopy level audit.

Note the wording: position players on scholarship. So their specialists aren't being counted, plus they were planning on playing a walk-on at QB as well. So they had 42 guys, even if you believe them and I do not, ready to play.

Sounds like we will be playing on NYE. I really don't care who we play. I just wanna watch our guys go out there together one more time,.

Would be SHOCKED if a replacement team is not found - Too much money at stake.

Apologies if this is Haas, Texas A&M has an enrollment of 55,568, and they can't field a team to play an 11 on 11 football game? Um, no. They can, but the Aggies chose not to do so because they realized that with the players on hand that they would lose and lose badly. First time that I am aware of a college pulling out of a bowl commitment because they feared the competition. Sad.

Is Miami even going to play? Wassu seems like the obvious choice.

Would be interesting to see who gets to host and televise the game. CBS televises the Sun Bowl, while the Gator Bowl is an ABC/ESPN property. So, many people are getting hosed on non-refundable airline ticket purchases.

So we have 120 on our team, they must have 200. 53 on an NFL team. They just don't want to play it.

Would be surprising for either bowl to yield their still-committed team or fan base; expect to see WF and WSU both play replacement teams

If we ended up not being able to play Texas A&M because of Covid, only to reschedule WSU, a team who fired their anti-vaxxer coach earlier this year, I would call that some form of justice.
