Gin or Vodka Martinis

We may have had this discussion before but what say ye Pit? If you're ordering a martini is it gin or vodka?

Where is the depends on my mood option? I actually drink both depending on what my mood is. Typically it's vodka in spring and fall and gin in the winter.

I don't understand this dumb hipster craze about alcohol from different plants. It's all the same. That's why I just drink Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol and save tons of money, getting just as lit.

I drink gin neat, the Botanist if I can find it, otherwise Hendricks with a slice of cucumber. I'm not sure that counts as a martini, so I guess I'm a savage.

Good call on the Botanist. Also have Hendricks on hand and I love a good London Dry.

I would also point out, and it may have been pointed out before, that a martini is made with gin. A kangaroo is made with vodka.
