HP's UNC-Cheat Thread - UNC comes out on top, NCAA penalized by UNC

Found this on Inside Carolina and thought it was extremely ironic. It's on the thread about Miami's investigation.

"Miami isn't going to even get a slap on the wrist. The NCAA's demise has thankfully begun."

Something about people in glass houses...

I could just look in and say, ‘OK, there’s Dr. So-and-So, and there are approximately 25 students in there and obviously they’re doing something.’ ”

Obviously no connection between school athletics and academics in this scande. Jennifer Wiley just went rogue on her own, damn crazy tutors

The agent who delivered money to UNC football players has been identified

This stuff is just as hillarious as ever. Please note:

During part of the time he was in contact with UNC football players, Watson wasn't even a legal agent in North Carolina. He attempted to register as an agent with the state, but his first check bounced.

I hope Quentin Tarentino is taking notes. What a bunch of clowns!

Marvin Austin would not have made it in the Nixon Whitehouse. G Gordan would have snuff'd him.

"One of the emails shows an associate director of academic support, Cynthia Reynolds, writing this to Nyang'oro: “I hear you are doing me a big favor this semester and that I should be bringing you lots of gifts and cash??????? :)" The email is from Sept. 11, 2009. The favor in question is unknown."

Wow. Professors at UNC are so professional. I love how a student was referred to as a "goober".

Newly released correspondence shows the faculty leader at UNC-Chapel Hill watered down a report into academic fraud to lessen the chances the NCAA would come back to campus.

The correspondence shows that hours before the report’s release on July 26, 2012, Faculty Council Chairman Jan Boxill sent the three faculty authors a last-minute email. It suggested they rewrite a sentence that painted a picture of a department manager creating bogus classes to protect athletes’ eligibility to play sports.
