Israel Attacked and its Response

No one who honestly gives a fuck about Palestine should frame this debate as beginning on October 7th and ending when Hamas are killed, and it’s just as dishonest and skewed to talk about Gazans as being victims of Hamas without consideration of them being victims of Israel. Hamas are not the only enemy in this scenario, and the stance that we are just going to let Israel kill and bomb and starve whoever they want for as long as they want, because Hamas, is completely fucked and wrong.

The reality is that if I were a Palestinian civilian, I would be between a rock and a hard place. I can either die in a collapsed building, get shot by Hamas for talking to the press, or die of disease, starvation, or exposure. No human being should ever be in this position.

That is why I'm not for a ceasefire. Fascist Netenyahu is sidelined and weakened considerably. Giving Hamas an opportunity to regroup and organize would be a gift. They would continue to funnel aide and resources into warfighting capabilities. I'm not giving Israel the benefit of the doubt either - Netanyahu sent them down a path that would have led here eventually. Tt is our imperative now to ensure that the rhetoric and alienation of that regime are fully extinguished.

I’m still missing quite a bit about the analogy to make it work, like who Israel is in the equation, but I can table that to get to the No-ceasefire take.

My view is that we can’t point to a conflict from the second half of the 20th century to today where America has landed on the right side of history. Our Chicago school politics that the State dept and military enforce typically mean we take away state agency from the territory we liberate, and put in some figurehead who will be friendly to our interests and install lite Reaganomics and funnel money into the Raytheon and consulting sectors. I just can’t get behind that, given that it’s billions and billions and billions of tax dollars that could be spent doing material good at home instead. And I don’t appreciate the moral authority lecture in any case.

But the bigger issue is that your hypothetical makes no sense. The figure of the Palestinian is perhaps only comparable (if comparable at all) to American Indians if you take your hypothetical seriously. On one hand, there is a degree of tribal autonomy. On the other hand, they are subordinated to a government that illegally occupied its land and has been slowly murdering its people. And I think if you read it like that, then your hypothetical might work? American Indians are between a rock and a hard place. The options are assimilation or slow extermination. Genocides, both.

The good news is that IDF announced that one of these mother fuckers is dead. It's only a matter of time for the rest.

The "evidence" the IDF rolled out of the "terrorist sites" under the hospital?
My high school acting club put together a better performance.
