Jameis Winston Redux

Yeah I have no idea. Either way it's ridiculous that he was only suspended for a half initially.
 
Especially since it's the biggest game of the year.
 
Winston is a fool. But the kid made a joke. It was vulgar and he has been accused of rape, I get it. But it was a joke. I think it's seriously overreacting to pull him for a bad joke.
 
This is such a huge overreaction. I can't believe a dumb obnoxious joke can get a player suspended for his biggest game of the season.

Well lying to university administration about a disciplinary issue is probably an expellable offense for your average student.
 
The school is under investigation with Title IX issues (with others), he was accused of sexual assault last year, and then he got up and made an ill-advised joke to a bunch of students. It's a dumb thing but in context it's pretty easy to see why some discipline was dished out here. Not to mention, as Cheese says above, that lying to an administrator is not likely to end well for the normal student.
 
Emory Parker, who is apparently some sort of beat writer for FSU, has some recent tweets indicating that something bigger is on the horizon. Says that Winston may never play again for FSU.
