John Bolton would be a great candidate.

Bolton would be the best combination of intellect and ability in the field, and it wouldn't even be close.

The fact that he looks like William Howard Taft probably wouldn't help.

The fact he's a raving buffoon doesn't help either.

Never trust a man with a mustache.

He'd be raking in so much big cake via those milk moustache ads, he wouldn't have to write a crappy finger-pointing book. Wonder if the Beatles would let him use "I am the Walrus" for his campaign?

Michael Bolton (the guy from Office Space) would be better.

His name could be a problem, however there was nothing wrong with it until he was about twelve years old and that no-talent ass clown became famous and started winning Grammys.

Guys, jhmd is serious. He actually thinks Bolton isn't a crazy person.

I think George Soros and David Geffen would each contribute $10M to a GOP superpac if Bolton would get into the race.

So far Santorum is the best candidate in a long while. I felt bad for Pawlenty. I mean, he just couldn't figure out why he was perceived as such a milquetoast - he doesn't consider his watered down Republican ideals milquetoast, but Santorum. Santorum may be the first defeated Senatorial candidate who next runs for a higher office. Plus, he has that perpflexed look like he can't figure out why 80% of the country thinks he's a milquetoast pufta. He looks like the guy who watches child porn but is against gay marriage. I'm sure he's not, but he looks like it. But I love that he's got just an awful sense of reality.

Bolton is a Yale Law grad with an extensive diplomatic career, including serving as the Ambassador of our country to the United Nations. That's almost as impressive as being a community organizer in my book.

Just once, I'd like to log in and see you not take a hyperpartisan lib position. You give shills at bad name.

John Bolton should probably be included on that list of people I posted on another thread who should have been hung Nuremberg-style for his despicable actions & complicity during the run-up to the completely unnecessary war in Iraq.

ETA: And BTW, he was Ambassador to the UN only as a result of a recess appointment by George W Bush. He could not win senate confirmation because even several members of his own party would not support him.

Compare Bolton's resume to candidate Obama's.

I'd like Romney to win and put Bolten on the Supreme Court just to give half of California a heart attack (but not rj).

well, as far as Bolton vs Obama goes, turns out one of them is already more qualified to become president.

Jon Bolton was a bit skinny, but he was a pretty good LHP for the Deacs.
