Back to the game. We are down by 5 with the ball.

Just saying we are hanging around, so far.
 
The sad part of Deacon basketball is that the Deacs are five down with 3:31 remaining and you know they aren't going to win. Sad.
 
What kills me is that this team would be legit fun had we fired Danny last year and hired a coach with even a sliver of upside. We are missing too many pieces to be anything more than an NIT team or a fringe bubble team of everything goes right, but these kids come to play every day and seem to love playing together. It's a shame no one is there to teach them how to win. Assuming we do the right thing next year, I hope we don't lose too many people.
 
Chaundee is nowhere near 100%. That missed layup and then no lift on the 3 point challenge probably ended this game.

We were paying him for 3-4 of those years because Wellman just signed him to an extension before firing him.
 
Dan right again...Louisville is a tremendous city to visit.

Sure, if you are a legit 61-31 big time coach, in the day and age for $3-4M salaries for coaches, sitting in the studio is a good deal. Riding Mack's coattails for a measure of revenge is pretty weak. You go out and get another gig to show that Wellman was an idiot for firing you.

Would have been nice to focus on why we've sucked for the last 6 years.
