MBB Game 17: @ NC State -- Tuesday 7 pm ACCN

Do college refs ever get demoted and/or just straight up fired for being bad? Like "We thought you could do this, but ugh, yeah, you're just really, really bad at this. We don't want your services anymore. Goodbye." Does that ever happen with any of these dudes?
 
Coaches have to do some serious soul searching and coaching up as this team is too talented to be up 10 at half and lay another dud against a Burnless Pack. we Continue to play like a rec team and not able to break a basic press when we have 3 good ball handlers. And worse our players turn it over in half court as well on stupid forced plays. No parker in 2nd half until game over when Cam was clearly ice cold and i liked Marsh playing in first half and gave solid mins but didn’t get no Keller after Marsh started to struggle and it was clear Burns was done. at least give Keller some run to see what he is going to bring tonight. And Elton seems so fixable as just Some coaching 101. One bad game on dumb fouls but it is ongoing.

Beat their asses into the ground at the Joel. All we can do now. Inexcusable loss and if we keep shit like this up on the road we’ll make the drought seven years.
 
We had no offensive flow in the last 10 minutes. State D was smothering and we made no adjustments. The refs had a bad game. The entire thing was a shit show.
 
What’s our path to the tourney? We’re not beating UNC or Duke on the road.
 
Contextually, the most meaningful choke job in a long time for the deacs. Would have been such a huge victory. Too much inconsistency, too much getting murdered in the paint, too many fucking turnovers.

Unfortunately, Fat Bastard will be healthy by then and go for 30 again. :(
 
Several thoughts, most of which won't be popular
1. Steve Forbes, spotted a 10 point lead, just got his nuts kicked in by Kareem Richardson. Only ran a couple of offensive sets in the 2nd half. Mostly out of control iso / hero ball. Terrible line-ups. Extreme focus on "running them off the 3 point line", resulting in easy, uncontested 8-10 footers. Makes even less sense because State isn't a great 3 point shooting team.

2. Ben Middlebrooks may be my least favorite ACC player of all time. Just a whiny, entitled bitch who pushes off on every drive but bitches about every foul call. At least 2 of his drives were obvious fouls. He didn't really push off, he literally shoved the defender away.

3. This team won't win many road games. Too undisciplined. Not enough mental fortitude (players or coaches). It's nice to say we have several talented players so a different guy can step up each game. Problem is, while certain guys are stepping up others are having a terrible game.

4. Love having Efton, but he isn't nearly as valuable as he could be due to the dumb fouls. It seems like that's going to be a consistent problem for him.
 
Can't plug the blame on anybody. Refs wishy-washy but not sure if they're biased. Gotta point finger at Forbes. Our offense changed in the last 10 minutes
