Thought this was hysterical from James Franklin re: the difference between Vandy and Penn State. Seriously, what is he on?

When asked about the difference between Vanderbilt, his former employer, and Penn State, Franklin said values. At Vanderbilt, which is in the SEC, Franklin says the top priority was always football.
"They don't make any excuses or try to justify, that's really their reason for existence," Franklin says.
At Penn State, Franklin says there's an emphasis on education and an athlete receiving a well-rounded experience. Additionally, with recruiting, he says his goal is to capture student athletes that are going to be "great fits here socially as well as academically."

Franklin is pulling one of the classic college football troll jobs.

I basically expect all college football coaches to try to sell ice to eskimos, but Franklin's so outlandish with his claims that I'm surprised anyone can believe him or buy into what he's selling anymore.

Actually the Vandy fans on the scout board found the actual audio recording from that quote and the reporter misquoted Franklin.

Mississippi State: A source tells CoachingSearch that former Wake Forest offensive coordinator Steed Lobotzke has emerged as a candidate to join the Mississippi State staff. Per source, Mullen is also talking with at least one other candidate.

Their fans have to be scared.

It's important to note that he wouldn't be the offensive coordinator but rather a position coach (or some other coach on offense). So he might actually be okay in that position (plus maybe we'll see if Grobe truly did limit what he could do while at Wake - unlikely).
