NFL Offseason Thread: 2018 NFL Draft

by the by, it was so stupid for Roethlisberger to try the fake spike run a play play. there was like 15 seconds left, of course he was going to go for the end zone. Pats weren't fooled and they only had 1 guy running a route. just stupid playcall and execution, they should have won.

Also even dumber for the route to not be a fade route. Did the WR just improvise that, or Ben signal him to run a slant? Throw the fade and it's probably complete 20%, incomplete 78%, intercepted 2%. Not so much throwing it over the middle.

Roethlisburger said he was legit going to spike it so was yelling for the team to get up quick to clock it, but then Haley started telling him through the headset to go for it. So the team didn't know that they were going for it until Rogers saw it wasn't going to get spiked so ran across the middle to give him a target and he tried to force it in. Just more evidence that Tomlin is an overrated coach, but he yells a lot while never blinking so he gets a pass.

LOL

4th straight 10+ win season, never finished below .500

probably top three winningest coach in the last five years

Mike Tomlin has the 15th highest winning percentage all-time (.655). He's second only to Belichick (.678) among active coaches. And he's only 45 year old.

I'll put it like this. The Steelers are the winningest NFL franchise since the merger, the only franchise over .600. Noll was .566. Cowher was .623. Claiming the winningest coach for the winningest franchise is overrated? C'mon.

At least this part was funny.

He runs a cell block that Urban Meyer would be proud of and his in-game coaching is mediocre at best. His teams win because of consistent HOF QB play, cheap-shots, and Duke-esque officiating. Half the coaches in the league would have similar results if put in his position. He is the Ty Lue of the NFL.

Not to mention the fact that his team gets to play the Browns twice per season.

In addition to being second only to Belichick (in win percentage), he’s also also runner-up to Bill on the list of largest single fines ever given to a head coach in NFL history.

lolz. The hottest of hot takes.

Butt interception leads to a TD by Ted Ginn Jr.!

was the “indisputable evidence to overturn a call” never really a rule or was it changed? Because now it seems like all that is needed to overturn a call that was ruled a catch on the field is to establish the slightest bit of doubt that it was a catch

The fix is in in New Orleans. Picking up the flag on the most obvious pass interference call in history is just the icing on the cake as far as ridiculously bad calls go in this game.

LOL at the "not a TD" review for Julio Jones. Unbelievable. And now a PI call against Atlanta that was nowhere near as egregious as the one they picked up that would have been against New Orleans. Brees to the Superbowl or bust!!!

So how big of a difference is Ezekiel Elliott making ?

Decent stats I guess.

2 plays from the 3 and neither time does Zeke get the ball to run? SO STUPID

and a missed FG. fuck everything.
