NFL Year 2022. Superbowl Winner: Kansas City Chiefs!

I'm listening to the replay and it's great pub for Kendall, but Schrager did say that he never had any QB experience in the pros "or college." Oh well.

If Hines Ward counts, he is the best with Edelman a close 2nd. FWIW, Ward three 3 TD passes in college. So, his QB career was limited. Edelman only played QB college. He threw 30 TD passes (he also had 31 picks).

Also, while not as good as either Ward or Edelman, but Antwaan Randel El was a very good QB at Indiana (42 TD passes; 7500 passing yards; almost 4000 rushing yards), and he had a solid 9 year pro career as a WR.

I have this memory of a pretty sweet one-arm TD catch Ronald Curry made for the Raiders

Josh Cribbs GOAT QB-turned-return specialist

At the time, losing Curry to UNC was the biggest recruiting loss UVA has ever had. He was supposed to be the new 2 sport phenom. But it turned out that he wasn't truly great at either - didn't have a jumper and was just a pretty good QB.

Ward was an emergency fill-in for an extended time after Mike Bobo went down in Ray Goof’s last year in Athens.

I remember Ward getting them thisclose to a win over Auburn, but Goff was a powerful force to try to overcome.

Wonder how good of a QB Ward could have been at a lower level.

I haven't been following the offseason that closely. When I saw ESPN breathlessly panicking about Brady being away, I thought he'd been gone for weeks. He's only been gone since August 11. Brady doesn't need training camp and the preseason. Who cares what he does?

The Masked Singer actually makes some sense though.

Anything is possible, and the most possible result is that Brady comes back next week, and the Bucs win the NFC South again. That said, the Bucs have suffered injuries and losses to the OL and WR. It's unusual for a QB skip out in the middle of training camp, particularly given the Bucs' roster and coaching turnover. Yesterday, Todd Bowles admitted that he has no idea when Brady will return.

Add in that Brady did briefly retire, and there is speculation that Brady sees that this Bucs team is not going to be very good, and Brady didn't comeback to lose in the first round of the playoffs. Literally nothing would surprise me. As stated above, can see the Bucs going 12-5, and making another Super Bowl run. Could also see Brady bailing and the Bucs immediately becoming a crap team again (Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask? yikes). FWIW, the Bucs first 4 games are brutal:

@ Cowbous
@ Saints
Packers
Chiefs

There is even speculation that Brady will sit out the start of the season, and then comeback. WTFK...

Nah. I think it’s more like Brady said he’ll come back but he has some stuff to take care of during training camp but he’ll be back before Labor Day.

Bowles isn’t going to say what Brady is up to.

honestly dont know if its THAT brutal. Cowboys are more often than not a dumpster fire and they dont have Cooper anymore. Saints are not anything special. Packers WR core is suspect and Rodgers is year older. Chiefs are obviously great but without Tyreek they will not be as explosive on offense.

3 of those 4 teams are the favorites to win their division, and the 4th team the Saints is 4-1 against Brady and the Bucs. Will see what the Bucs' record is after those 4.

2 of those 3 teams play against the lions, vikings, bears, commanders, eagles and giants. dont think favored to win those divisions means you are an elite team.
