NFL Year 2022. Superbowl Winner: Kansas City Chiefs!

Where did the "elite" teams get started?

Bucs start the season with 4 tough games against teams that are expected to have winning records; three of those four teams are favored to win their division; the Packers have the 2nd shortest odds to win the NFC (behind only the Rams); the Chiefs have the 2nd shortest odds to win the AFC, behind only the Bills. The Saints have owned the Bucs. That schedule along with two offensive line injuries, the injuries to Godwin and Evans, Gronk's retirement, the coaching change, along with Brady's indefinite sabbatical, could result in a rough start for TB. Maybe they will waltz to 4-0 anyway.

The Saints must think their fans are too dumb to get the reference

Cowboys lose starting LT till December. NFC East is a trash division.

It's becoming Groundhog Day with Smith every year. Dude should just retire. I think Philly wins that division easily. Dallas is mediocre, WTF is starting their Wentz experiment, and it's going to take years to rebuild the NYG roster after what Gettleman did. Gettleman wasn't quite Matt Millen or BOB, but he is in the same neighborhood.

The NFC East easily has the worst fans of any division in sports. The AL East is second.

Many years back, the Daily Show did a piece on which city had the douchiest fans, New York or Philly, where they went to football and baseball games in both cities. It was quite risible.

Philly is the only NFL stadium where there was a palpable sense that violence against opposing fans was imminent. They lead the NFL in fights in the stands by a wide-margin. RJ posted every year about how Philly Police Department keeps a jail in the stadium. New Yorkers are world class a-holes, but typically their abuse is verbal. Philly is much more likely to get physical.

yeah and everyone hates the Cowboys and their dbag fans and the Washington fans willingly and proudly cheer for a racist team

So in other news, former SDSU punter/current Bills punter Matt Araiza has been accused of gang raping a 17 yr old HS Senior at an off campus party last year.

LINK

Apparently he had sex with her outside the party, then took her to a room where at least 3 other men were, including 2 other SDSU football team members, and she was violently raped for an hour and a half. She was in and out of consciousness and had her nose, ear, and belly button piercings ripped out, among other injuries.

Just....I mean.....WHAT IN THE ACTUAL FUCK!?

What is it with some athletes? Well I guess that should be "men", who think they are entitled to whatever they want, be it things, money or people.

Just sickening. Reading that article actually made me feel nauseated.

In a statement Thursday, the Bills said they "were recently made aware of a civil complaint involving Matt from October 2021. Due to the serious nature of the complaint, we conducted a thorough examination of this matter. As this is an ongoing civil case legal, we will have no other comment at this point."

It seems like a civil complaint against a draft prospect would come up during the process.

there was this subset of college and NFL writers who would be very annoying about this guy on Saturdays "OMG HE PUNTED !" that were trying to get him at the Heisman ceremony and Punt God this, Punt God that.

The Bills stated that they were aware of the allegations when he was drafted. Explains why he slipped in the draft. He was considered the best punting prospect in a long time. Not sure how the NFL treats player's transgressions before they join the league, but that sounds a lot worse for what Ray Rice or Zeke were suspended for.

And Watson.

The NFL doesn’t want a guy who gang raped a minor coming out on 4th down.

sounds like the decision purely rests with the Bills since he would not be subject to the NFL's conduct policy

At least the Bills kept him out of the game. Their backup QB punted.

did the Bills learn any new information in the past week or did it just go public?
