The GOP hasn't done anything yet except talk about refusing consideration. Dems including Schumer and Biden have called for the same thing on the other side as well. Many Dems would have loved to refuse to give Alito a vote, they just didn't have the numbers to actually do it. It remains to be seen what will actually happen if and when Obama makes a nomination.

This. Has the GOP done really anything except talk since they took control of Congress. Seriously, have they passed or even allowed a vote on anything? Honest question. The debt ceiling I guess.

This guy sounds more like a moderate GOP presidential candidate who would get 3% a la Huntsman or Kasich.

As for his qualifications, I have no issue with his education, nor should there have been an issue with Miers' education. It's what they have (or haven't) done since that matters. The Supreme Court need not be filled only with Ivy Leaguers, but it should require relevant expertise.

Sandoval now has gone on the record that he doesn't want to be nominated. Not clear he was ever genuinely interested or if Reid trolled him a bit.
