Why would the Bucks playing him at point dissuade other teams from signing him?Putting Giannis at PG is a shrewd move by the Bucks. It would be easier for teams to clear a spot in the lineup to pursue him at SF, PF, or SG but plenty of teams have their PG of the future. They wouldn't risk losing a good player for a PG in progress.

I think you are placing too much emphasis on position, and not enough on coaching or playing style. On offense any player on the court can handle the ball and call plays. There are only a handful of teams with PGs talented enough to dominate the ball handling on their team. Giannis could play for 15 other teams and still run point half the time.Besides what I said?
I'm not sure what you're saying. How often has a team with a franchise PG pursued a max PG? Why would PG Giannis go somewhere he wouldn't likely play PG?
But would he want to be a half time PG?
Yes? His ability to handle and distribute doesn't make him a guard, especially since he can't shoot. He's a point forward. He's clearly becoming a more attractive free agent, not less. But would he want to be a half time PG?

Why couldn't you play him next to a guy like Brandon Knight or George Hill?
It begins. Spurs to sit leonard (rest, contusion), green, mills, and diaw against memphis at home tonight.
Manu, Tony, and Tim out tomorrow and 3/28 vs. Grizzle. Boban gonna go HAM tonight.
Boban barely played. Timmy had 12 pts, 8 reb, 7 ast in 30 min. LMA with 32 pts in 33 min.
