Official 2020-21 NBA Finals - Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA Championship!

Why is there even still a protocol for a player who is fully vaxxed? If the objective is to promote the placebo, at least make it appear worthwhile and attractive.

cause the vaxxes aren't 100% effective.

Man, sure woke up to a heckuva alot of NBA news

Neither are seatbelts. Are the players still allowed to drive?

Other than the NBA, is anybody who is vaccinated and not in a medical profession required to go into any sort of protocol after exposure? Who cares at this point?
None of these guys were getting materially sick before the vaccine. Given that the League is trying to promote the vaccine, it seems really stupid to continue to subject them to protocols after getting vaccinated. The message should be yes he was exposed, but good for him he got vaccinated months ago so he can play on.

Either that, or let the Suns sign Cliff Paul to the playoff roster as a free agent for the league minimum.

CP3 tested positive for COVID himself. What do you think should happen? He's allowed back with 2 negative tests.

It matters as mentioned because the vaccine is not 100%, people are not getting the vaccine (players, family, friends) and this is the play offs of a world wide interest billion dollar company. Of course they have to do everything they can to have as many players playing the most important games as possible with as little risk as tolerable. Its not rocket science. Its all about the bottom line. Had every nba player, team employee, and league employee gotten the vax maybe they throw the protocols out the window.

I’m sure it would be a Union/legal issue but ideally the protocols would remain incredibly strict for unvaxxed players while vaccinated players can do whatever they want.

Same goes for the rest of society.

I mean if Embiid is gonna play like that there’s no reason to even come back to Atlanta

This is a potentially career defining series for Playoff P. Winning this without Kawhi would be clutch

all the data says if you’re vaxxed, you won’t spread covid even if you test positive

Haralabos Voulgaris sounds like a bad guy in Harry Potter.

(Also I cannot stop thinking of a sports writer or blogger who’s last name is somewhat similar to Voulgaris’ first name but cannot think of it. Ring a bell for anybody? Might be making it up.)

"Haralabos Voulgaris" seems like a curse in Harry Potter.

It's good to see Collins be more assertive even if his shots aren't falling.

Simmons is a fraud and I love it. I don't understand, how can you be so bad at the fundamental skill of the sport? Like, how did you practice as a kid when you weren't 6'10? How do you practice now? Shooting is literally the easiest thing to improve at. It must be mental.
