Official 2021-22 NBA Offseason Thread - Warriors extend Poole and Wiggins

Official 2021-22 NBA Season Thread - HOF Manu

KD with 55 in a loss at the Hawks on Quavo Night. That drops the Nets to 0.5 game behind the Hawks and tied with the Hornets but the Hornets have the tiebreaker. So the Nets are in 10th.

Is Steve Nash a good coach or has he just coached three great players, some wily vets, and a few good role players?

Nets have a much easier final 4 games than either the Hawks or Hornets. Should be super close. Wonder how a 3 way tie would work if each had a tiebreaker on one another

Nets have the edge there.

Bucks don't know what to do with Doncic. He's embarrassing them.

I don’t watch a lot of Bucks games but do teams do to Giannis what Mavs did today? They just refuse to let him drive/get any sort of head of steam.

9 Pelicans +1.5
10 Spurs --
11 Lakers -2.0

Pelicans - at Clippers (now), at Kings, Blazers, at Grizzlies, Warriors
Spurs - at Nuggets, at T-Wolves, Warriors, at Mavericks
Lakers - at Suns, at Warriors, Thunder, at Nuggets

The Spurs have tiebreakers on the Pelicans (3-1) and Lakers (2-2, but have 7 more conference wins). It would be hard for the Lakers to catch the Spurs, but it's possible if Lebron comes back.

If the Pelicans beat the Clips, they have an outside shot at the 8 seed.

In the East, the Hornets and Nets are even. The Nets have an easier schedule.

Hornets - at Heat, Magic, at Bulls, Wizards
Nets - Rockets, at Knicks, Cavs, Pacers

Sarr had 24/6 off the bench in a 117-96 win over the Suns. They were resting Booker, Ayton, and Crowder but still Paul played.

Hoard had 4 and 4. When is the last time three Deacs played in the same NBA game?

sarr had five threes! hoard also had a 20 rebound game the other day

Yes, Dallas played great D and when some teams pack it in and constantly double him, Giannis is typically great at getting teammates open looks, but he only had 2 assists last night and Middleton had an off night. Giannis was still only a bucket off his average, though. If one of the big three has an off offensive game -- and it is usually Middleton -- Bucks really struggle against decent teams.

2019 WF MBB had three future NBA players: Hoard, Sarr and Chaundee Brown and went 11-20 (4-14, and finished the season rated #174 -- behind Duquesne, Hampton, North Florida, Charleston Southern among lots of others).

That team also had a 1,000 point scorer Brandon Childress; Mucius was on that team as well.

Bigs just leave Manning and start draining threes in the league. Sarr is 13-27 from deep.

Manning learned his big man play in a different era. In his day, bigs played in the paint and guards and wings shot threes. That is not the case in today's game. One of many reasons he did not succeed at Wake.

Sort of a ridiculous response, given Manning had Mitoglou almost exclusively shooting 3s while he was at wake.

Manning had so many faults that it seems unnecessary to make one up.

The criticism is Why Not Both?

Why not let an elite post scorer like JC drift outside and shoot threes? He would have fit better with DT and Moore.

Dinos came to Wake as a three point shooter. That is what he did early in his Wake career. Danny worked with him and helped Dinos develop an inside game.

Aside from his rookie year, JC shoots 3s in the NBA about as often as Dinos shoots them in Greece.

what the hell is actually going on with Ben Simmons?

also kinda surprised to learn Hoard is still kicking around the league
