Official 2022-23 College Basketball Thread: UCONN - One Shining Moment

Miami was up 54-31 at home at the half against a bad FSU team. It's now now 76-75 Miami at the under 4 timeout. So to recap the ACC that folks on social media love to rattle on about as "underrated": Miami trying not to lose to bottom 5 FSU, UVA just lost to bottom 5 BC, and not a single team in the ACC is in the top 30 of metrics.

So, the ACC sucks huh?!

I'd imagine this is a top 3 biggest comeback in the NCAA percentage wise this year. Miami was up 60-36 with 17:30 left at home against a team outside the top 200 in KP. Other than Iowa losing to a bottom 30 team in the country (opening win % was like 99.8%) this probably takes the cake for "choking"

Don’t care the opponent, there should be no situation possible to choke a 13 point lead with 90 seconds left. That is some Manning type shit.

Yeah looks like that's the 3rd "biggest comeback" win percentage wise in the NCAA. Iowa's win percentage was .2% when they were down 89-76 under 2 minutes. It'll be interesting to see where Miami falls.. Probably fourth right behind them, but it's not always easy to sort out win probabilities for heavy favorites with big leads earlier on in the game.

The top two (both at .1%) are:

2. Campbell up 61-41 at home over Southeastern Louisiana at home with 4:45 left. They lost 70-69 in regulation (wow lol).

1. Iowa up 18-4 at home over Eastern Illinois with 14 minutes left in the first half. Eastern Illinois is the 18th worst team in the country

Of course UVA is getting crushed by UNC….

UVA looks just god awful lately. Pitt and Miami are probably the best two teams in the ACC right now even with Miami loss to FSU. Clemson coming on strong the last couple as well

Wasn’t it Bz who lost a 9 point lead to Virginia in 45ish seconds?
IIRC, Virginia won on one of the worst banked 3s I have ever seen. It was near the corner and hit the top-left quadrant of the glass and went it. It was an awful shot.

With all the season data in the system, Clemson still managed to jump 26 spots in the NET with one victory.
