Maya Angelou is in the Brinks truck right now with Ronnie, Nate, and Buddie reading one of her poems to Shaka's professional writer wife, MAYA. Things are going swimmingly. Deal will be done by 7 PM tonight. BELIEVE.

Illinois didn't steal Groce, Wellman refused to consider him in 2009 when he easily could have been swayed to come to Wake Forest
 
Why are the only people with friends with good sources ones that are not reliable sources?

Shaka's agent is in the cat-bird seat right now. Whatever Shaka wants to do (including the possibility of remaining at VCU), Shaka and his agent can let all interested parties drive up the price and increase the favorable terms and then Shaka will choose where he wanted to go along in the first place. Would also guess that the college carousel might not be done either; not beyond the realm of possibility that another attractive job will open in the next few days.
 
The best question posed so far is why a guy like Shaka would go to the Big East, when the conference he's presently in is better?
