in palmas world, since we did bad stuff, we should allow Russia to ruin our elections, our democracy and divide our nation with hate and lies. Got it...

No I’m saying with the intelligence community overwhelmingly warning that the Russians are meddling, and with the indictments this week lending more credibility to that claim, wouldn’t a good leader attack the issue and lead his nation against it, even if it were just acknowledging it is happening and siding with his countrymen against it? What would Lincoln do? What would Ike do? Reagan? I believe they would be all over this, have confidence in the intelligence, and be courageous leaders with tactical plans to beat it.

Now, answer my question. What is our current leader going to do about it? We ran the softy liberals out of Washington and the good guys run all three branches. What’s the plan to beat the ruskies and let freedom ring?

Sailor and lectro, what should a strong conservative leader do with the intelligence and indictments in this situation? This brave nation has always confronted interlopers with strength and courage. What’s the best plan?
 
winning the election would help, then we wouldn't have all these fellow traveler Russia-bot lefties running around trying to sow division, confusion, open borders, and socialism

securing systems and only using secure systems, would work a whole lot better than "isn't Russia just awful, they are so mean, we need to tell them to stop, it's only fair for us to meddle in other countries' elections and it's not fair for others to try to meddle in ours, we should only whine about Russian meddling and never mind all the foreign lobbying, or all the foreign cash in US elections, and so on, endlessly on ..."
 
Using secure systems? Interesting. I’m an IT guy so I have a little understanding of secure systems. What systems and for whom? How is that executed and what role does the gov play in that? Specifically how does this executive branch do a better job than its dreadful predecessor?
 
having more secure communications systems, eliminating foreign cash from our elections, severely curtailing foreign lobbying would be a nice start

first denying that such interference is possible - when everyone knows that foreigners (and not just Russians) have constantly been interfering in American elections for decades - then insisting that what we called impossible, not only happened but swung the election, and then endlessly whining about mean ol' Russia is idiotic and counterproductive beyond belief, if you don't think this behavior makes you look like a fool, you don't know what fool is
