You mean like when Mr. Wilson came to BB&T field threw his first pick in a ton of attempts and left with an L and his tail tucked between his legs?
And then his second pick as well...

The loss was due entirely to bad calls from the referees. I don't know if you are aware of this remarkable stat or not, but WF would actually be undefeated over the last 9 years if it wasn't for bad calls from officials. If you don't believe it, you can read back thru all the game threads on this board. For some reason, all the referees in the country just hate WF and are going to make sure that we lose games that we would otherwise win.
2017 we can reasonably expect to compete in the ACC. We were that down on talent level, speed & depth. Right now our OLine is young & slow and lacking strength even with an Indiana. But given 2 more years, we will build up 20-30 pounds per man, more strength and be able to hold off the Dlines, open some quick hitting holes for our experienced RB's like Coburn, Reid & Bell. Give time to Hinton or Wolford to throw to Serigne & Hines. Then we can all reasonably expect to play competitive ball against the likes of Louisville, Clemson, FSU & NC State and not expect a close game to be a surprise.
Actually, Indiana was called for 11 penalties for 119 yards, while WF was only called for 7 penalties for 48 yards....but you would never realize that from reading this thread. Many of the posters here thought most or all of those 7 calls against WF were awful calls.
WF isn't losing football games because of imaginary bad calls. They are losing games because they are trying to compete in a conference in which they have no business trying to compete today....especially in football. All the other teams are just bigger, stronger & better than WF....and WF will continue to get its ass beat in conference games or P-5 OOC games at least 75% of the time, no matter who is coaching the team.
They were 3-9 last year, and they are probably going to finish 2-10 this year. And the next few years aren't going to be more than a couple of wins better than that...unless they start scheduling 3 or 4 FCS games as outside opponents. 3-5 in the ACC will be a good year going forward.

They were 3-9 last year, and they are probably going to finish 2-10 this year. 2 of those 5 wins were against FCS teams, 2 were against Army and the other was against a punchless Virginia Tech team that scored 0 points in the entire 60 minutes of regulation...and WF still had to go to OT to win because they couldn't score a single point either. And the next few years aren't going to be more than a couple of wins better than that...unless they start scheduling 3 or 4 FCS games as outside opponents. 3-5 in the ACC will be an unusually good year going forward.
After this season is over, WF will likely be 1-15 in the ACC over the last two seasons. Obviously, it almost has to get a little better than that...but you're going to see a lot of 2-6 ACC records ahead.
Wake Forest falls victim to the NCAA in exactly the same manner Howard Dean was unfairly ousted by the DNC.
